Meet the Team
The Ironman of Engineering
Meet Andrew Holm, GMV’s new CTO
Andrew Holm wasted no time finding a personal passion project when he started as a Senior Software & DevOps Engineer at GMV in early 2023. Andrew tasked himself with reimagining the Signs product to be more reliable, stable, and self-sustaining, setting it up for future success.
Believing that the only way to prevent all-night troubleshooting sessions is working hard all day, Andrew’s thoughtful approach to Signs quickly earned him a reputation among his new teammates, and before long, he had a hand in nearly every major initiative at GMV, from data integrity to the legacy Android-based onboard system.
Andrew developed his unique engineering mindset through years of experience, from helping grow a restaurant startup to working at unicorn tech companies. He values collaboration over ego, always steering conversations away from “my idea versus yours” and toward “what’s the best solution for our customers?”
That perspective served him well when, in the summer of 2025, he was tapped to step in as interim engineering manager, where he had the opportunity to put his big ideas into action. He’s led with a focus on process and people, trusting that a stronger engineering culture will create stronger products.
For Andrew, leading an organization isn’t all that different from engineering software: both require untangling complex systems, reducing inefficiencies, and making sure the right information flows in the right way. Now, as GMV’s new CTO, he’s bringing that viewpoint to guide the next chapter of innovation.
Outside the office, Andrew is every bit as relentless as he is at work. A triathlete who has completed a full Ironman and thrives on challenges like ice baths and endurance training, he believes the same principle applies whether you’re racing or coding: if you don’t give up, you don’t fail. He also finds perspective in travel and family life—he’s lived in France, is still fluent in French, and has been married for 15 years with three kids who keep him busy when he’s not training or building the future of GMV.
